A condenser which is also known as a plugger, it is a restorative instrument that’s used to pack amalgam or other filling materials into cavity preparations. Pluggers/condensers are also available in a wide range of combinations with plain or serrated tips and the terminal shanks are angled at 50° to the center line of the instrument.
